BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:-//wp-events-plugin.com//6.4.10.2//EN BEGIN:VEVENT UID:0-9@atuh.org DTSTART:20240630T120000Z DTEND:20240630T153000Z DTSTAMP:20250515T055222Z URL:https://atuh.org/events/adab-sarai-%d8%a7%d8%af%d8%a8-%d8%b3%d8%b1%d8% a7%db%92/ SUMMARY:Adab Sarai - 1 DESCRIPTION:ادب سراے\nانجمن ترقی اردو (ہند)\nکی ت خلیقی ادب کے باب میں نئی پیش رفت\nقلم کارو ں سے ایک درخواست\n     اس سلسلے کو شروع کر نے کا مقصد مختلف ہندستانی زبانوں کے تخلی ق کاروں کو ایک پلیٹ فارم پر یکجا کرکے تخل یقی ادب کی اس حیثیت کو مسلّم کرنا ہے، جس پ ر تنقید غالب آتی جارہی ہے، اور ماحول ایس ا بن گیا ہے کہ لکھنے والا بھی نقاد کی اولی ت کا قائل معلوم دیتا ہے۔ ادب سراے کے جلسے ہر تیسرے مہینے کے آخری اتوار کو شام 6 بجے سے 9 بجے کے درمیان اردو گھر میں منعقد ہوں گے۔ ان جلسوں میں فن کار اپنے تخلیقی فن پا روں کو پیش کرنے کے ساتھ تخلیقی ادب کے دیگ ر زاویوں پر بھی تبادلۂ خیالات کریں گے۔ ا س پلیٹ فارم کا مقصد کسی مخصوص ادبی نظریے کی حوصلہ افزائی کرنا قطعی نہیں ہے بلکہ مخ تلف زبانوں کے تخلیق کاروں کو یکجا کرنا بھ ی اس کاوش کا ایک مقصد ہے۔\n     ادب سراے ک ے جلسوں میں کوئی افسانہ نگار اپنی کہانی س نائے گا تو کوئی شاعر نظم یا غزل پیش کرے گا ، اور کوئی ڈراما نویس یا اداکار اپنے کسی پلے کے متن کی قرأت کرے گا تو کوئی انیکٹم نٹ کے ذریعے اپنی تخلیقی قوت کا اظہار۔ یہ تخلیق کار حضرات تخلیقی ادب کے مختلف زاوی وں پر بھی باہم اظہارِ خیال کریں گے۔ نیز ا ن ادب پاروں کا تذکرہ بھی ان جلسوں میں ہوگ ا جنھوں نے تخلیق کاروں کی تحریروں کو جلا بخشی، یا مختلف لوگوں کو تخلیق کی طرف راغب کیا۔\n     ایک ادارے کے طور پر انجمن کا ی ہ نظریہ ہے کہ ہندستان کی تمام علاقائی زبا نیں جن میں سے کچھ کو وطنیت کے تابع لسانی س یاست کی مقصد برآری کی وجہ سے بولیاں کہہ کر ان کی اہمیت کو کم کیا جاتا ہے، ہندستان کی قومی زبانیں ہیں۔\n     یہ وضاحت بھی ضر وری ہے کہ ادب سراے ادبی تنقید نگاروں کا پ لیٹ فارم قطعی نہیں ہے۔ ادبی نقادوں کو اپن ی بات کہنے کے لیے دیگر متعدد پلیٹ فارم مو جود ہیں جب کہ ہندستان میں تخلیق کاروں کے لیے مواقع محدودتر ہیں۔\n     ادب سراے کے ذریعے جو بھی بہترین تخلیقات سامنے آئیں گی اُن کے اردو تراجم کی اشاعت کے لیے انجم ن ترقی اردو (ہند) وسائل بھی فراہم کرے گی۔\n ادب سراے کی پہلی نشست 30 جون 2024 کو شام 5:30 ب جے اردو گھر میں منعقد ہوگی۔ آپ کی شرکت ہ مارے لیے باعثِ صد افتخار و مسرت ہوگی۔\n،ا طہر فاروقی، جنرل سکریٹری\n \;\n\nAdab sarai\n\nA Writers’ Forum for Creative EXPRESSION\nAn appeal to all writer friends\ nAdab Sarai is the new initiative of Anjuman Taraqqi Urdu (Hind). It will be an open and accessible platform for creative writers in all Indian lang uages\, including Indian English. It has been conceived purely for the lov e of creative literature. To begin with\, there will be a quarterly event on the last Sunday of the third month from 6 to 9 p.m. The basic idea is t o have literary gatherings\, where participants will read excerpts from th eir writings: a story\, a poem\, an enactment\, or a reading of an act fro m a play. These creative writers can bounce ideas and novel thoughts off e ach other and/or discuss literary books that have inspired their writing. Everything must fall within the ambit of creative writing only.\n\nWriters will congregate to discuss creative writing as a broad rubric and share i deas.\n\nThe role of the Anjuman will be that of an enabler\, providing a platform without interfering in any way. Urdu may be encouraged but will n ot be imposed\, and English and Hindi are equally welcome\, as are the reg ional actually the national languages of India. Unfortunately\, the synony m 'dialect' coined by Western Scholars is used for national languages in t he developing world\, especially India\, and most surprisingly\, at the ex pense of the public exchequer and through state-run universities' departme nts of Linguistics and English Studies!  Putting some languages in one ca tegory of major languages\, the category of the ‘Other’ is automatical ly created\, and the languages with a tag of minor languages\, languages o f folk literature and so called dialects are automatically marginalized. T he main beneficiary of this short sighted strategy in India is modern Hind i\, which is able to incorporate promising languages in its fold at the co st of their growth.\n\nAt the Anjuman\, we are clear that even languages w ithout any script have as much right to grow with their literature as the mainstream or dominant regional languages. Urdu and old Hindi\, actually t wo versions of the same language\, have evolved and grown\, benefitting ma inly from the other languages of north India. However\, the contribution o f the classical language\, Sanskrit to modern Hindi is artificial and inse rted not long before the entire problem of the so-called minor languages a nd the pathetic academic articulation of the issue of the languages of fol k literature is germane in the West.\n\nFor Anjuman\, literature in any In dian language is equally worthy of respect. The same is true for Indian En glish literature.\n\nIt must also be mentioned that Adab Sarai is not a fo rum for literary critics and academics\, especially university teachers. T hey have several other platforms to express themselves.\n\nIn India\, crea tive writers need more space for their writing\, especially fiction and po etry. If such spaces are available\, they are often niche\, expensive\, a nd beyond the reach of struggling writers. Hence\, this platform.\n\nUrdu Ghar will provide resources to publish the best works that emerge from thi s initiative (in Urdu translation) if the writers so wish. Adab Sarai is n ot explicitly for promoting Urdu literature. We believe that Urdu can deci sively benefit from the creative works of other languages\, as has always been the case.\n\nAnjuman's office\, popularly known as Urdu Ghar\, is mos t centrally and accessibly located at Rouse Avenue\, 500 m from ITO metro' s gate number 2 and within walking distance from any bus stop\, in and aro und ITO. It is on the main road from ITO to Minto Road\, New Delhi Railway Station\, and Connaught Place. Urdu Ghar has recently renovated its audit orium with state-of-the-art facilities\, including perhaps the most modern light and sound equipment and a centralized air conditioning system. Our library\, most certainly the most organized language library in India\, wi th books arranged in compactors\, is worth visiting.\n\nParking is also co nveniently available.\n\nI am looking forward to your enthusiastic partici pation and visit to Urdu Ghar.
