An Indian writer, academic, and former dean of the School of Languages at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Professor Sadiq ur-Rahman Kidwai is the President of Anjuman Taraqqi Urdu (Hind), New Delhi. He was also honored with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award, in 2010.
